With reference to the minutes of His Excellency the Governor on my letter concerning additional Hospital accommodation I am to state that His Excellency has been pleased to approve of the Chinese attendants required for the new Lock Hospital but in the minute there is no provision made for medical charge of the Establishment nor yet for the economical expenditure of Stores.

There are now eleven patients in the new Lock Hospital and I shall be glad to learn His Excellency's pleasure concerning these latter points.
